Rectal Prolapse
A condition where part or all of the rectum slips out through the anus, often associated with weakness of pelvic floor muscles.
Fecal Incontinence
Loss of control over bowel movements, resulting in involuntary leakage of stool due to muscle or nerve dysfunction.
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
Impaired coordination or weakness of pelvic floor muscles, leading to difficulty in bowel movements or loss of control.
Chronic Constipation
A long-term condition characterised by infrequent, difficult, or incomplete bowel movements.
Obstructive Defecation Syndrome (ODS)
A type of constipation where stool passage is difficult due to functional or structural blockage in the rectum or pelvic floor.
Ulcerative Colitis
A chronic inflammatory condition affecting the inner lining of the colon and rectum, causing diarrhoea, bleeding, and abdominal pain.
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
A group of chronic conditions, mainly ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, that cause inflammation of the digestive tract.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
A functional digestive disorder causing abdominal pain, bloating, and altered bowel habits without structural disease.
